Out now via Better Noise Music, the deluxe edition of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus‘ sixth studio album X’s For Eyes lands with a previously unreleased gem in tow.
That gem is ‘Angels Cry‘, a new track accompanied by a striking video directed by ShaneDrake at Say So Pictures, with additional production from Michael Lombardi at Better Noise. You can check it out below.
Frontman Ronnie Winter describes ‘Angels Cry‘ as “a bittersweet story of love and loss in early teenage years. As an adult, I’ve learned these things are natural, but when you are young it feels like the end of the world. Turns out it was just the beginning.”
It’s a sentiment plenty of us will recognise. That gut-punch first heartbreak feels absolutely world-ending at fourteen, only to become a footnote later. Winter taps into it with the kind of earnest delivery The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have built their name on for more than two decades.
Formed in 2004 in Jacksonville, Florida, the alternative rock outfit has racked up gold and multi-platinum singles over the years, including the five-times platinum ‘Face Down‘ which has clocked over 176 million views on YouTube. Add high-ranking radio chart positions and over 1.5 billion career streams to the tally, and you’ve got a band whose longevity speaks for itself.
Originally released in 2025 with 11 songs, the deluxe edition of X’s For Eyes is available here.
