Jonathan Hultén’s Song Of Transience

Following the release of his Eyes Of The Living Night album back in January, Jonathan Hultén returns today with a new video for his track ‘Song Of Transience’, directed by Anastasia Lihnka

In the form of a melancholic yet whimsical waltz, ‘Song Of Transience’ playfully explores one fundamental question: ‘On your deathbed, will you be smiling or in tears?’” Hultén reflected.

“The video, filmed by Anastasia Lihnka in France in November 2024, reflects the mystical and relentless aspects of time, which can be both uplifting and disheartening. Edited and filmed with special lenses to capture a dreamlike, colourful atmosphere, the video also emphasises how beautiful the world really is — Especially when seen from the perspective that our presence here is so fleeting, and therefore so very precious.”

Alongside his work in the studio, Hultén has remained deeply engaged with live performance, recently completing a series of shows with rock legends The Cult, as well as his debut North American solo tour supporting Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats. These appearances have further affirmed his reputation for merging theatrical artistry with musical depth – his distinctive set designs and striking costumes serving as integral elements of the experience, every bit as expressive as the music itself.

With more live dates planned for later this year, Hultén continues to build a dynamic and far-reaching presence on stage, bringing Eyes Of The Living Night to audiences across continents.

Eyes Of The Living Night is out now on Kscope on pearl blue vinyl LP, black vinyl LP, CD and digitally  form here.
