No Murder No Moustache is new to me, and I’m excited about this one. I love discovering DIY bands and artists, especially punk ones, as that’s my favourite genre, and Owen Crawford is no exception.
From songwriting and production to video creation and flyering outside gigs, Owen shares stories from Wales, where he is from. He has shared stages with The Rumpled, The Cloverhearts, Cam Cole, and Mr Irish Bastard, and features on compilations from the US, Germany, and Australia, including the Fat Wreck Chords-approved NOFX tribute album from Coffin Curse Records.
No Murder No Moustache‘s new album As Everything Else Decays is due for release on 27th February 2026, with 13 tracks plus one bonus track.
Pondering the new album, Owen says: “This is a more reflective and personal record than my last album. It’s still firmly rooted in Celtic punk, but I’ve dug deeper into myself to bring more authenticity, the same raw energy that people connect with at my live shows. I really wanted to capture that in the studio this time.”
He released the first track from the album, ‘A Demon In The Dark’, on 5th December 2025, accompanied by a video. The second track, ‘Wasted’, followed on 20th February 2026.
I actually really like this album. It’s unique, different, and in some cases very catchy. It’s very folky and pirate-like at times, with that authentic punk rock attitude coming through. Owen’s voice is hypnotic to me. He has a few different ranges and it all sounds incredible and impressive.
There are a few tracks that have stood out to me and that I’ve enjoyed the most. First of all, the intro track ‘Intro (A Moment Of Reflection)’ introduces the album perfectly and is a glimpse of what to expect.
‘A Demon In The Dark’ is the second track on the album and is definitely a favourite for me. It has that classic Celtic punk sound with catchy lyrics and attitude in the guitar riffs. It gets heavier towards the end and is such a fun track. I even did a little headbanging while listening to it.
‘Wasted’ is deep, heavy, and personal in the lyrics. Owen sings, ‘Cos we’ll be wasted one way or another, the bottom of the bottle or the bottom of the grave.’ It expresses a lot of feelings about mental health. It has some catchiness to it too, but overall it’s very personal and in some parts relatable.
‘Collateral Damage’ is very truthful, so relatable and honest. Owen shows a lot of aggression and frustration towards the current state of the world, and I definitely agree with him on that.
Lastly, ‘Second Chance’ is very short, coming in at one minute and five seconds, and is the fastest track on the album. It is more heavy punk, which I absolutely love, and is definitely another favourite of mine. It shows more of Owen’s punk side, with a heavier vocal range. The drums are impressive too: loud, fast, and sick.
This whole album was so fun to listen to and I highly recommend giving it a go. You may find some favourite tracks for yourself.
