Can you hear the war cry!!?”

It’s been a great night with three fantastic acts supporting Enter Shikari – Fathrerson, Allusondrugs and Feed The Rhino.

Feed The Rhino

After a suspense intro the band members come on stage one by one – to a very warm welcome from the crowd. Lee Tobin (lead singer) comes out and yells “Manchesteeeeeeer!!” and boom we are right into action!

After performing like a madman Lee is so sweaty to the point when he head banged sweat is lashing out, and this is only a minute into the first song ‘Behind The Pride‘. It must be all that metal ozzing out.

Only moments into the 2nd track ‘Deny and Offend’ there are already crowd surfers, and all the band members are prancing around like nut jobs!

When ‘Give Up’ is played Lee demands everyone to jump! “I want to see all you jump high when I start the song!” Of course the crowd obeys and it’s got wilder in here. Yelling, jumping and a mini mosh pit is on the go too.

“Everyone in the audience get your phones out were gunna have a moment”. ‘Tides’ starts and phones are lighting up everywhere. Lee sings smoothly and everything has just got mellow and quiet – it really is a special moment.

And then boom back into the metal madness! And of course horns are in the air. As ‘New Wave‘ is the final track Lee yells “We are Feed The Fucking Rhino!!!”. And that ends their set.

Now before they even start there was one of them circus voiceover announcements saying “10 mins ’til the show starts, enough time to get refreshments”. This is a pretty cool feature as it makes the crowd go nuts, to the point where it counts down form 5, 3, 2 and 1 min! The fans are pumped, yelling for the band.

Then the intro is played ‘Apparel’/ ‘Mine Sweep‘ and while the intro is played the lighting is insane. But that’s not all – The guitars have lights attached to them. As soon as the beat drops that was it! Rou Reynolds (lead singer) jumps out, and it just went complety insane, everyone lost their shit!

‘Radiate‘ is the third song and Rou grabs a ton of mic cables and runs off stage with them. It went quiet for a min and then suddenly a wild Rou appears at the back of the venue with a guitar.

“You all sweaty? Good, looks like some of you over there are still dry, give sweat to them” says Rou.

When ‘The Last Garrison’ is played it just got more insane.

“Manchester do you feel alive? Show me those middle fingers in the air. Alright Manchester I want to hear your War Cry, show me your war face!”

It’s a fucking mad house! To add Rou is running and dancing on stage and even doing one handed press-ups! As if thats not enough, there is a ton of crowd surfers.

‘Mothership’ one of their classics is played! On the final track ‘Anaesthetist’ is played and they go off. Of course the crowd is bat shit crazy and begging for more! The band come back and say “Okay a few more song for you awesome fucking lot”. Three tracks to end it, ‘Dear Future Historians’, ‘Slipshod‘ and ‘Sssnakepit‘. And that’s the lot! An incredible night, a long one but who’s complaining. But that’s all folks.
