If there is anything more extreme than this it must be found in the bowels of hell amid flames hotter than a cemetery incinerator! It is meant to be to the extreme end of the scale and the band haven’t skimped on anything. It sounds just as nasty as it looks, being a connoisseur of extreme metal I know what I like and this is one maniacal album that sits right with my listening devices (although not saying it will with others who prefer a more easier listening).
The tracks are like a raging storm that continue in an unstoppable force, its aggression simultaneously reflecting in violent raging tones. It is tantalising to say the very least.
The third track ‘Ad Maiorem Satanae Gloriam’ holds particular interest as it is steeped with melodic splendour that gives it an instant thumbs up. Satan features very strongly on this album, but that’s no surprise to extreme metalheads as most of us don’t believe in a God – my feelings here are that God is the Devil in disguise – I could be mistaken but with all the badness and madness occurring around me I think it is a safe bet. The tenacious edgy rhythms rip through the flesh with ease leaving their mark with an outstanding imprint.
The album itself demands your attention and it sure deserves it as it rips out some insatiable quality tracks that are well put together and executed. The band use their instruments like tools of annihilation and shoot from the hip with anger and agitation. They incite plenty of energetic riffs and rhythms that coincide with a rip-roaring grizzly vocal that screams in demonic tones. Being caustic and all involved it weaves a tempting path to rack and ruin along the lines of severe whiplash! The grooves are swiftly coated with a torrent of pure enterprise and satisfies its hunger on the unsuspecting listener that has gotten embroiled in its meaty slabs of blackened metal.
The aggression and rich intrusive rhythms continue to honour their genre and give out more than occasional lethal punches – they do mean to kill you of that I have no doubt.
Its heart belongs to the dark side, as it continually molests the ears, driving the enemy from within, tugging at the senses and constantly nagging with perplexing riffs and demonic drum beats. This is highly engaging and then some!
