However, that’s exactly how vocalist Marc “Porter” McKnight described them to us. Atreyu is a metalcore band hailing from Yorba Linda, California, established in 1998. The current lineup features lead singer Brandon Saller, guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel, bassist and unclean vocalist Marc “Porter” McKnight, along with drummer Kyle Rosa. We had the chance to chat with Porter at this year’s Download Festival where he recounted one of their most chaotic performances ever—an event filled with unexpected reactions and comical misunderstandings.
