Bad Omen records formed earlier this year and has quickly taken shape by signing a new batch of bands.
The record label was founded by Will Palmer (ex Rise Above Records) and describes itself as “fiercely independent record label,” which is “dedicated exclusively to Heavy Rock, with a focus on old school values and traditions.”
Although based in Oregon, the label has gone somewhat international with its first four signings hailing from the UK, Sweden and well, Virginia. (Okay, so only slightly international!)
But most excitingly Bad Omen has signed a mixture of established and up-and-coming bands, creating an already diverse range of experience and sounds within this early stage of the label.
The new acts signed include rock n’ rollers Asomvel, doom and dungeon rockers Satan’s Satyrs, CC Company, a new punkedup heavy metal Swedish trio and The Tower, described as “bad luck boogie and timeless blues rock with a mystical edge”.
Both Asomvel and Satan’s Satyrs are set to release their second full length albums via Bad Omen this autumn, whilst CC Company’s 7” self titled debut and The Tower’s first LP are also due for release this September/autumn.
