Bob Marley’s 70th birthday marked with release of ‘Easy Skanking In Boston ’78’

If the legend that is Bob Marley was alive today he would not only fighting for world peace, or  playing a bit of football, but also making great music. 2015 would have been the year Marley turned 70 – to commemorate this there will be a series of rare and unreleased material. The first being Bob Marley and The Wailers’ live album Easy Skanking In Boston ’78, to be released on February 17th.

The album will feature two historic  performances from Boston Music Hall in June 1978. This is a previously unreleased performance from the Marley family giving unprecedented access, for the first time, to their  personal material from their private collections and vaults.

This will be released as a Blu Ray/ CD package as well as a DVD/CD combo and a standalone CD.  These will include new animated material and will be the first official release the Marley family has incorporated new technology with. These animations are created by the team of S77 who have previously worked with Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Pearl Jam and Bruno Mars.
