Teasing the release of their highly anticipated sixth studio album Bloodlust, Los Angeles metal act Bodycount treat their fans to a new music video for their third pre-release track, titled ‘Black Hoodie‘. Amongst lyrical content that comments openly on the issue of police shootings involving unarmed men and women, ‘Black Hoodie’ also toys with the lyrical content of the 1993 rap classic ‘Sound Of Da Police‘ by KRS-One, only this time delivering a far more chilling message.
In a previously released track from the album, Bodycount also transformed the viral social media hashtag #BlackLivesMatter into a song bearing the title ‘No Lives Matter’. Speaking further about the nature of their latest track, Ice-T remarks “this type of thing happens everyday and nobody marches or it never makes the news. The video speaks for itself.”
Download ‘Black Hoodie’ now on iTunes and Android Music.
Bloodlust will be available on vinyl, CD and digital download from 31st March.
