Nouveau Arcade is back with an ominous mid-tempo track, ‘Choose Your Fighter’, the single being intended to bring a distinct proactive kinetic energy to the table.
Written back-to-back with the previously released ‘Run Boy Run’, the track keeps up the momentum with sweeping rhythms that pulse throughout the track.
‘Choose Your Fighter’ is released alongside an arcade-style visualizer and a t-shirt created in the likeness of Samantha Tokita, the inspiration behind the single, with 20% of t-shirt sales going to The Shriners hospital. Tokita is an MMA fighter with a prosthetic leg, who has fibular hemimelia, an extremely rare and difficult-to-understand condition but who has gone on to become a Muay Thai practitioner with her first fight scheduled for 12th November.
“After meeting Sam and hearing how she was pumped up by our music, we were also inspired by her in return,” stated Nouveau Arcade. “The song is about how just like in a video game where you get to choose your own fighter, you have the choice of how you handle yourself, and the struggles you face daily. You can quit the game, lose the game, or show up. This is how we’re trying to make a contribution in our small way.”
