Latin American death metal act Corpse Garden will be releasing their third album IAO 269 on 24th November 2017 in CD, LP and digital formats through Godz ov War Productions.
Formed in Costa Rica in 2009 Corpse Garden are Felipe Tencio (Lead vocals, synths, noise manipulation), Carlos Venegas (Fretless bass, aural manipulations, Icaros), Esteben Sancho (Strings, vocal emanations), Federico Gutiérrez (Strings aggression, drilling maelstrom, psychoactive soundscapes), and Erick Mejia Arguedas (Drums, visions, and spells from the void apparently!).
Recorded, mixed, mastered and co-produced by Colin Marston in New York this January, IAO 269 is said to take “the band into a brand new and bolder direction”. The music has been declared far more experimental and even trance-like at times.
The tracks featured are as follows: ‘Aeon of Horus’, ‘Death Hex’, ‘Ain Soph Hur’, ‘Selenomatic Ecstacies’, ‘La Muerte’, ‘Principo y Redención’, ‘IAO 269’, ‘The Elevenfold Vibration’, ‘Expanding the Vision Call’ and ‘Loathing’, while the cover art is by Alexander L. Brown.
Title track ‘IAO 269’ can be heard by clicking here, while the band released their first single from the album ‘Selenomantic Ecstasies’ a while back and that can also be heard by listening here.
Corpse Garden’s previous albums 2012’s Burnt by the Light and 2015’s Entheogen have resulted in the band becoming a successful Central American act who’ve also toured in Europe, opened for the likes of Morbid Angel and Behemoth, and performed at the legendary Wacken Open Air Festival.
