Polish black metal band Czort will return this November with their third full-length album, Monumenty.
In Slavic mythology, Czort (or chort) is considered to be a demon of total evil, with horns, hooves, a skinny tail, and a pig-face. While the Polish word Monumenty means monuments in English.
The album will be released via Pagan Records on 29h November as a CD, on vinyl and in digital formats. It was recorded and mixed last fall at Impressive Art studio in Porąbka, Poland by Przemysław Nowak.
Monumenty features the tracks ‘Paroksyzm Ludzkości’, ‘Zjawa’, ‘Kuźnia Materii’,’Oczyma Monumentu’, ‘Zmagaznie Rdzeniem Istnienia’, ‘Cyborium Zgnilizny I Brudu’, ‘23.48.30’, ‘Antynatalizm Boga’ and ‘Ubóstwo Idei’.
The sound on Monumenty is said to be an evolution of the band’s past work on W Czeluść (2022 split released via Godz ov War Productions), Apostoł (2020 album released via Under the Sign of Garazel Productions) and Czarna Ewangelia (2018 debut album released via Under the Sign of Garazel Productions). In 2019, Czort also released a split album entitled Under The White Flame with Mordhell, Occultum and Dagorath.
Ahead of its release, the band unveiled a music video to the track ‘Oczyma Monumentu’ that you can check out here at RAMzine.
