Deaf Rat Ain’t Angels

In the lead up to the release of their debut album, Swedish rockers Deaf Rat release the single ‘Fallen Angels’ with an accompanying video to boot.

A dark selection of tunes rammed with heavy riffs, strong melodies and seductive tunes to twist your mind is what we’re promised on the full length player that will be Ban The Light, due for release on 1st November on AFM Records – and available both on CD and clear red vinyl (limited to 300 pieces).

The title was taken from the first song written for the album and is about being different and standing up for your individuality against people full of prejudice, and based on personal experience.

“I had a rough time in school being different in every possible way,” recalls the band’s singer Frankie Rich. “I had a funny name, red curly hair, parents from a different country.

“On top of that I was listening to Kiss and Wasp while the kids in my school listened to Backstreet Boys and The Spice Girls. I was miserable from being made fun of because I was different”.

To get a flavour of what to expect check out the video to ‘Fallen Angels’ right here at RAMZine. They say it has “Big hooks and is as catchy as they come, breathing the air of the golden rock ‘n’ roll days. Play it loud and see for yourselves!
