Oooh RAMzine came over all unnecessary this week after catching a glimpse of this thrilling new clip from Sweden’s melodic metal maestros Amaranthe. Love MMA fighters? Partial to seeing cheerleaders shake their pom pom’s? Does the sight of fire get you going? Well, you are in luck because ALL of these things are going on with this one!
Yes, just seven short days after the premiere of their brand new (and bloody good we might add) song ‘Drop Dead Cynical’ (the first supersonic taste of new release ‘Massive Addictive’ which is set to drop October 20 via Spinefarm Records), the band have revealed the accompanying video for the track. With more dancing ladies, fighters and pyro that you could shake a stick at, this is definitely one video that you won’t want to miss. And with legendary director Patric Ullaeus (Burn With Me, The Nexus, Hunger) back at the visual helm, you know your eyes are in for a treat. Suffice to say that Amaranthe themselves are pretty stoked to have Patric back on board too:
“We can now finally unleash the ‘Drop Dead Cynical’ video, directed by master director Patric Ullaeus,” Amaranthe guitarist Olof Mörck said. “It is energetic, bombastic and explosive, just like you have come to expect from Amaranthe’s videos, and the powerful delivery of the song is accentuated by the martial combat throughout the video. As always, you are in for a visual treat; more than 15 MMA fighters, cheerleaders and enough flames to light the heavens on fire! Get ready to be entertained!”
