‘Solid Ground’ is the latest single from Falling Into View, a crossover number for lovers of rock, Americana, country and pop. It’s available now alongside a video you can check out here at RAMzine.
While rhythm guitarist Allan Price is the band’s main songwriter, ‘Solid Ground’ was written by Falling Into View‘s lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist Alyssa Wint, who wrote it a while back, when at university and going through some events and circumstances she hadn’t seen coming.
“It made me lose my balance and it felt like I couldn’t quite figure out who I was or where I should be, you know that feeling when you are swept up in a storm and cannot find your footing to get straight again,” Wint began to explain. “There’s that moment where the people around you, the most incredible friends and family, start to pull you back down to the ground and help you find yourself again, to regain a firm footing on solid ground, that’s the essence of this song.”
Falling Into View formed from the ashes of a previous band known as The Idle Quiet. Aside from Wint and Price, the line-up is rounded out by Bernie Eacock (lead guitar), Rob Beavan (bass guitar), and Gordon ‘Gordy’ Wint (drums), all of whom supply backing vocals.
‘Solid Ground’ was recorded at Magic Garden Studios in the West Midlands with award-winning producer Gavin Monaghan.
