Delft hard rock band Frontline have released new single ‘Bleeding Hearts’, out now, a taster for their second album Trial by Combat, due later this year.
The song tells the tale of a gangster couple who can no longer bear to go on with their ruthless, profit-driven career, carried by a fierce, hard-hitting riff in the verses and a heartfelt, crescendoing solo in the middle. It’s a fun, upbeat track with vintage vocals and some great guitar riffs that help tell the story. The album to come promises themes of conflict, wrath, self-doubt and lost glory, once again drawing on the spirit of Guns N’ Roses, Thin Lizzy and Skid Row.
We always enjoy a new single that gives a first look at a forthcoming record, and the Dutch rock scene has a habit of producing tight, melodic hard rock that travels well.
