Ghost reinstate Papas I,II, and III for next tour

The bizarre saga of Swedish melodic rockers Ghost continues as their latest YouTube videos reveals surprise changes to their upcoming tour.

The scene, which immediately follows the reveal of Cardinal Copia, sees Sister Of Sin telling what looks like Papa Emeritus I,II, and III (sans facepaint) they are going on the road again. See below.

The video shows the three Papas then being drugged and possibly killed (?) and later being embalmed.

It hasn’t been made clear if this is part of the VIP experience where fans can ‘pay respect to’ and take photos of the bodies, or they will be ‘resurrected’ for certain songs. Ghost being a very ‘character driven’ band, anything can happen.

Earlier this month, the cover of Metal Hammer features Cardinal Copia holding the severed head of Papa III, in front of Papa 0. Does this signify a new chapter for the band? Is Papa 0 going on tour too? Only time will tell.

This is part of their huge tour across the US and European festivals. Sadly nowhere in the UK, despite rumours of a secret set at Download Festival. More news to follow.
