Fresh from blowing the rafters off UK concert halls with his January appearances as part of rock super group Black Country Communion, bass player and vocalist Glenn Hughes will be putting his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted credentials to a nationwide UK tour where he will playing only classic Deep Purple material.
Turning back the clock for a two hour live extravaganza homage to his tenure with the band this Classic Deep Purple Live tour will take in nine dates across the UK, featuring songs made world famous on the Mark III line-up’s albums Burn and Stormbringer and Mark IV’s Come Taste the Band.
“I’m excited to be touring the Classic Deep Purple Live in the UK this October. I first toured Classic Deep Purple Live in Australia and New Zealand last year and it went down like a storm. We’re also touring the show throughout South America in April, and festivals throughout the summer. By the time we tour the UK in October, we’ll be on fire.”
Hughes touring band for the concerts will feature guitarist Soren Anderson, keyboard player Jesper Bo Hansen and new drummer for the project Fernando Escobedo.
The tour also includes two dates in Ireland, Hughes’ first as a solo performer. They take place at the Belfast, Waterfront on Saturday 29th September and Dublin, Olympia on Sunday 30th. VIP tickets are available, that include an exclusive unplugged song performance by Hughes.
