“By the time we tour the UK in October, we’ll be on fire,” said Glenn Hughes prior to his Classic Deep Purple Tour global trip. Alas, a fire at the Glasgow School of Art has put paid to his performance at the O2 ABC Glasgow there, planned for Friday 12th October.
Fortunately, all original tickets purchased remain valid and the concert will now be staged at the O2 Academy Glasgow on same date.
As noted previously at Ramzine, Hughes’ eleven date tour “promises to be a dynamic, turn-back-the-clocks, two-hour live extravaganza homage to his tenure in MK 3 and MK 4 incarnations of Deep Purple – one of music history’s most seminal and influential rock and roll groups”.
The bass player and singer, last seen live in the UK fronting Black Country Communion on their short two date tour, will be performing Deep Purple only material and special gigs for those gigs is Laurence Jones.
