Godeth Erupt Into 2026 With Ferocious New Single ‘Vestige’

Yorkshire groove death metallers Godeth are wasting no time in 2026. Their brand new single ‘Vestige’ recently dropped, and if you haven’t pressed play yet, you need to fix that immediately. This is a brutal, heavy track that hits like a freight train and doesn’t let up.

The band had this to say: “The song has been a popular staple of our live set for the last six months and we can’t wait for our fans to be able to hear our recorded version of it. ‘Vestige’ illustrates the inescapable, rapid descent into misinformation politics and populism that the world is seemingly crashing into. Using satire and sarcasm to numb the pain, ‘Vestige’ furiously lambasts the current state of affairs and declares a resounding ‘hell no’ to being dragged into the chaos.”

Once again, the band teamed up with producer Adam Gadsby, who has been instrumental in shaping their sound into something genuinely devastating. The results speak for themselves.

If you want to experience ‘Vestige’ in the flesh, Godeth have live dates coming up fast. They play a headline show at Grand Central in Manchester on 1st February and another headline slot at the Fulford Arms in York on 22nd February. The Manchester date also marks the final performance of bassist Jimmy Johnstone, who has announced his amicable departure from the band. A replacement will be announced in due course.

‘Vestige’ is available now on Spotify and Apple Music. This is a band worth supporting, and the UK underground needs you to show up.
