Graspop Metal Meeting turns 30 next summer, and the Belgian festival is not holding back. Three headliners are now confirmed for the anniversary edition, which takes over Dessel from 17 to 20 June 2027.
First up, blink-182 will make their Graspop debut, closing the South Stage on Saturday 19 June. Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker have been back in their original line-up since DeLonge returned in 2022, and a field full of metalheads belting out ‘All The Small Things’ and ‘What’s My Age Again?’ should be quite a sight.
Thursday 17 June belongs to Parkway Drive. The Australian metalcore giants headlined Graspop in 2023, in what the festival calls one of the standout sets of that weekend. Winston McCall, Jeff Ling and co. will close the South Stage again, and live staples such as ‘Carrion’, ‘Wild Eyes’ and ‘Vice Grip’ are sure to whip up the pit.
The latest name is perhaps the most exciting. Faith No More will headline the North Stage on Friday 18 June, eleven years after they last played Dessel. The band had to cancel their 2022 appearance, so this one has been a long time coming. With Mike Patton at the helm, a Faith No More show can go absolutely anywhere, and The Real Thing, Angel Dust and King For A Day… Fool For A Lifetime remain landmarks of alternative metal.
That’s four days and five stages, with plenty more names still to come. Ticket details for Graspop Metal Meeting 2027 will follow soon.
A pop punk headliner at a metal festival will divide opinion, but alongside Parkway Drive and the return of Faith No More, we think Graspop is lining up a proper birthday bash.
