Desertfest London has revealed its second wave of artists for 2027, and it’s a heavy one. Eighteen new names join the bill for the weekend of 21 to 23 May.
Leading the charge are YOB. The Oregon trio have spent two decades building a reputation as masters of megalithic doom, and their last Desertfest appearance, a crushing set at the Roundhouse in 2022, is still talked about. A return was long overdue.
Kylesa are another big addition. The Savannah sludge veterans came back last year after a ten-year hiatus and will bring their primal heaviness to the Desertfest London stage for the very first time. Windhand also make a long-awaited debut, bringing their eerie, hypnotic psychedelia, while London’s own Lowen return with their genre-bending progressive metal steeped in Middle Eastern lore.
