In This Moment – Do You Want to Believe?

In This Moment‘s new album Witch is here, and the Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum heavy alternative band have packed it with guest appearances and towering anthems.

For anyone not yet ready to fall completely under the band’s spell, they’ve issued a run of singles with epic cinematic videos to entice listeners in recent months. The most recent is ‘I Want To Believe’, which features Gold-certified Southern California heavy alternative act Dayseeker‘s vocalist Rory Rodriguez alongside In This Moment‘s Maria Brink.

Brink said, “‘I Want To Believe’ is the flicker of light you protect as shadows close in. It’s reaching for a hand that’s slipping away, knowing endings are inevitable, yet still clinging for the glow of hope. It’s the quiet fight to believe in light while the world shifts, knowing that even as one chapter fades, another will dawn.”

Rodriguez echoed his own excitement: “We had a chance to tour with In This Moment last year and they were so kind to us. I was very excited about the idea of us creating something together musically and I think people are going to love it.”

Witch also features Kim Dracula on ‘Heretic’ and Kat Von D on a cover of the Pink Floyd classic ‘Another Brick In The Wall’.

“Witch is my declaration of inner transformation,” said Brink. “It’s about embracing the duality within, taking pain, persecution and struggle, and alchemising them into strength and power. The album reflects both ancient trials and my own journey, where being a witch means being a creator, connected to the universe, manifesting my own reality.”

Alongside Brink are co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel and drummer Kent Diimmel.

Witch features the tracks ‘Shame’, ‘I Want To Believe (Feat. Dayseeker)’, ‘Crawl’, ‘Into The Dark’, ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’, ‘Wrapped Around Your Finger’, ‘Heretic (Feat. Kim Dracula)’, ‘Father’, ‘Without Me There’s No You’, ‘Another Brick In The Wall (Feat. Kat Von D)’ and ‘Something I Can Never Have’. It’s out now via Better Noise Music.

Ahead of the album, ‘Crawl’ arrived as a single, with the band’s vocalist commenting: “‘Crawl’ is a reckoning. A reflection that those who dominate and cause pain will ultimately reap what they sow. As above, so below. The fall is inevitable. Bearing witness to the harm they inflict, the song declares that those who once stood tall will be brought to their knees.”

Chris Howorth added: “‘Crawl’ is a visceral track that delivers the undeniable observation of powerful entities dominating and abusing the weaker and compromised masses. Something that continues to repeat itself throughout human history. The song empowers and, at its core, is about standing up and fighting back.”

Before that came ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’, which has amassed over 1 million streams. On its release, Brink said: “With ‘Sleeping with the Enemy’ and our upcoming album, we’re confronting the darkness, whether it’s inside us or external. It’s about looking that darkness in the face and transforming it into empowerment. We feel so exhilarated and ready to show the world what we’ve conjured up.” With Witch now out, In This Moment are doing just that.
