In a recent statement Iron Maiden’s manager, Rod Smallwood, has appealed to fans and fellow musicians alike to campaign against the secondary sales of gig tickets- more commonly known as ‘touting’.
In this statement Smallwood urges fans to write to MPs to fight for the cause now known as ‘Put Fans First’, in this statement he said:
Your support is critical to demonstrate to this Government that the Public are fully behind us in this opposition to the current abuses. We would urge all UK Iron Maiden and Metal Fans to consider supporting this Bill and assist ideally by emailing your local MP or simply going on Facebook or Twitter, and rallying behind the cause – Put Fans First.
Iron Maiden have uploaded a letter template to their official website, which can be found here:

The Maiden manager also states:
“Using this template… or in your own words we would encourage you to email your MP asking them to support this amendment when it comes back to the House of Commons”.
