With Jethro Tull – The String Quartets still some months ahead and not due until 24th March, Ian Anderson, John O’Hara, and the Carducci Quartet have released another song from their re-imagining of Jethro Tull songs given a classical flavour with the instrumental ‘Songs And Horses’.
‘Songs And Horses’ is an adaptation of two Jethro Tull numbers, ‘Songs From The Wood’ and ‘Heavy Horses’ that while arranged by Anderson and O’Hara highlights the Carducci Quartet’s contributions with the searing violins and an emotive undertow felt by the cello.
The Carducci Quartet are highly celebrated for their interpretation of contemporary repertoire, being winners of international competitions, including the Concert Artists Guild International Competition 2007 and Finland’s Kuhmo International Chamber Music Competition, having appeared at prestigious venues across the globe including the National Concert Hall, Dublin; Tivoli Concert Hall, Copenhagen; Carnegie Hall, New York and Library of Congress and John F Kennedy Center, Washington DC.
‘Songs and Horses’ is also available now for instant download with the full album from iTunes, Amazon and Pledge Music campaign where fans can purchase signed CDs and Vinyl LPs.
