King King reveals plans for live album

Setting the mood for their second UK tour this year, King Kingwill be releasing their first ever live album, with the aptly named King King Live, on Friday 21st October through Manhaton Records.

Available as a deluxe edition 3 disc set King King Live will include two CDs of the band’s sold

sold-out hometown concert at O2 ABC in Glasgow on 14th May this year plus a bonus DVD film of the band performing at Holmfirth Picturedrome on 13th April. Pre-orders are available through Amazon.co.uk, and there will also be a digital download format available.

“We are excited about King King Live because it’s the first time we’ve ever released a live album,” vocalist/guitarist Alan Nimmo declared. “It’s a great testament to how our audiences drive us on to perform to the best of our abilities. The audience reaction to the live performances is amazing. This release couldn’t have been possible without them.”

Pegging five awards at this year’s British Blues Awards with Reaching For The Light as Best Album and ‘Rush Hour’ as Best Song, Nimmo won Best Vocalist and Best Songwriter, and Lindsay Coulson Best Bass Player.
