King Prawn Return with New Single ‘Propaganda’

King Prawn return with ‘Propaganda’, the first in a series of brand new singles coming listeners’ way this year via Cherry Red Records.

Intended as a “bold new chapter” for the ska-punk band, they said of the new single: “The lyrics are an exploration of how modern propaganda doesn’t try to influence you against your free will. Instead, it works far more insidiously, using relentless repetition, selective validation and the illusion of personal choice to make you convinced that the planted idea was yours all along.”

Having earned themselves two Kerrang! award nominations with four albums under their collective belt, King Prawn toured worldwide before playing a sold-out farewell show at London’s Forum in 2003.

A decade later they returned as a seven-piece, with brass section and keyboards in tow, released a fifth album and took to touring live once more. Now returning to their philosophical punk roots, a further three singles are planned with a brand new album underway.
