‘A Love I’ve Never Known’ is the latest single out now from Swiss rock act King Zebra via Frontiers Music Srl.
“Some hearts know where they belong and some have to search for love seemingly their whole life. ‘A Love I’ve Never Known’ is a rip-roaring power rock ride dedicated to those who keep on believing they’ll find true love,” declared the band.

It follows a series of other recent single releases. Discussing their previous single, the band said: “‘Heart Without A Home’ is the first ever King Zebra ballad. Acoustic guitar leading the approach is another first for the band. In the spirit of 80s power rock, the arrangement and lyrics are a tribute to the human desire to be at peace and belong. It paints a sonic picture of the struggle between loneliness and coexistence, and the price paid for both.”

Before that came a single with a past, one that only came to light this year. ‘All I Want Is You’ was originally written in New York in the late 1980s by King Zebra frontman Eric St. Michaels (ex-China) and acclaimed songwriter John DeNicola, best known for his work on the iconic Dirty Dancing soundtrack and a recipient of both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. The track then remained unreleased for almost 40 years.
King Zebra rediscovered the song, rerecorded it, and brought it to life for a new generation, staying true to its original spirit while infusing it with the band’s signature sound.
The band said: “The spirit and flavour of this romantic song take the listener straight back to the end of the 1980’s to a little neighborhood known as Soho, New York. Like renovating a vintage heirloom, we are excited to bring this timeless song to life for all our fans to hear.”
DeNicola also shared his thoughts on the release: “I am excited for the release of our song ‘All I Want Is You’. When Eric told me after all these years they would be releasing this song, it just proved the old adage that a good song has no expiration date. King Zebra‘s version remains pretty true to what we wrote back in the 90s, and they have added their magic to it all these years later and recorded what will hopefully be a contemporary classic.”

Formed in Zurich, Switzerland, back in 2017 with New Jersey born seasoned veteran Eric St. Michaels as vocalist, the band gained international attention with the release of an EP in 2019 and the album Survivors a year later, all while touring with a number of major acts and playing festivals. They signed with Frontiers Records in 2023, releasing Between The Shadows in 2024, and have recently completed a European tour with The Gems and a subsequent club tour in Switzerland.
