Atlanta-based heavy rock juggernauts Mastodon are almost finished writing up their seventh studio album, which follows their universally acclaimed 2014 release ONCE MORE ‘ROUND THE SUN. The quartet have chosen to record (once again) with legendary producer Brendan O’Brien who first worked with the band on 2009’s groundbreaking concept album Crack The Skye. The mixing process will begin in Los Angeles shortly with the view to release the new album early in the new year.
With each member contributing their personal genetic footprint to the band’s sound, they’ve inspired contemporaries as well as appreciation from fans and critics alike. And as a collective who always push themselves using a fearless blend of styles, textures and concepts, it is safe to say that we can expect great things from the ‘Don’s seventh studio exploration!
