Montreal alternative rock band Lady Susan have shared a video for ‘Romeo’, the most energetic, punk-driven track on their debut EP Teenage Revenge.
The band formed in 2024. They’re four friends who have been playing music for more years than they care to count, and who toured alongside some of punk rock’s bigger names in earlier bands before coming together with a simpler mission. They make time once a week, somewhere between work, family and surviving the 21st century. They aren’t chasing fame. As they put it, “We take our craft seriously. Ourselves, not so much.”
Teenage Revenge came out on 25 September. Across six songs, the band move beyond the conventions of their punk-rooted past without losing its urgency, landing on melodic, guitar-driven alternative rock with a raw edge and an immediate, lived-in feel. Everything was self-produced, from recording and mixing to every promotional visual, music videos included. The result is a set of songs that feel considered, honest and unmistakably their own.
Released on 9 October, ‘Romeo’ shows off the heavier side of the band, while first single ‘Lottery’ is a more melodic way in. Fans of Biffy Clyro, The Menzingers and The Flatliners should feel right at home.
Lady Susan are Jay on vocals and guitar, Dave on guitar and keys, Carl on bass and Steve on drums.
Teenage Revenge is out now.
