Motörhead to release double 7” single ‘OVERKILL/ BOMBER’

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of ‘Overkill’ and ‘Bomber’, Motörhead fans can soon enjoy both albums on double picture disc 7’’ vinyl. This exciting release will also feature a brand new remaster of the hit single ‘Overkill’, one of the most renowned tracks from this legendary band who paved the way to the new generation of British heavy metal.

It’s all set to come out on April 13th via BMG for Record Store Day. The gatefold cover shows a collection of some of the most emblematic and historic band’s photos, shot in 1979 by Paul Slattery in London. Unfortunately Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, “Fast” Eddie Clarke and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor have all passed away but their music have undoubtedly left an indelible mark. With a long and prosperous career and after having become one of the most iconic rock groups with 22 studio albums, forty years of hits and a bad reputation these guys will definitely be able to live forever through their songs. You can watch classic footage of the band performing ‘Overkill’ and ‘Bomber’ in 1979 on Top Of The Pops here:
