According to a news blog on the band’s official website, it seems the legendary My Chemical Romance have announced they wish to call it a day.

Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We’ve gotten to go places we never knew we would. We’ve been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We’ve shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.

Across their 12 year career, the band have released 4 studio albums; many of which are certified gold or platinum and have spawned number 1 hits in many charts. In their early days they had toured with the likes of Green Day and Fall Out Boy before becoming an esteemed headlining act themselves.
