Nickelback are heading back to UK arenas. The Canadian rock giants have announced the Everything Under The Sun Tour for 2027, and Don Broco will join them as special guests.
The tour celebrates Nickelback‘s eleventh studio album, Everything Under The Sun, which is out on 30 October through Virgin Music Group. Lead single ‘Rattle The Cage’, featuring John 5, is currently number one on US Active Rock radio. Follow-ups ‘Leave Me Behind’ and ‘Make Me Love You’ show a more vulnerable side of the record.
After starting in North America in February, the tour reaches the UK in May, opening at Leeds First Direct Bank Arena on 22 May. The UK and Ireland dates are:
22 May: Leeds, First Direct Bank Arena
25 May: London, The O2
28 May: Birmingham, Utilita Arena
30 May: Dublin, 3Arena
1 June: Glasgow, OVO Hydro
2 June: Manchester, Co-op Live
The European leg then runs until 13 July in Copenhagen, before the band head to Australia in October.
The two bands go back a little way. Nickelback appear on ‘Nightmare Tripping’, the title track of Don Broco‘s latest album on Fearless Records, so sharing a stage is the natural next step. Don Broco have sold out Wembley Arena and Alexandra Palace in their own right and played Download and Reading & Leeds, so expect them to make the most of the arena stage.
It’s been a good few years for Nickelback. Their Get Rollin’ World Tour was the fastest-selling and best-attended of their career, and the Netflix documentary Hate To Love: Nickelback spent weeks in the platform’s global top ten. With nearly 65 million albums sold, they remain one of the biggest rock bands in the world.
Love them or loathe them, Nickelback have won a lot of people over in recent years. Our own reviewer called their last Manchester show a redemption arc. Pairing them with Don Broco is an inspired move too, and it gives the tour an edge that should pull in a whole new crowd.
Tickets are on sale now.
