Nightwish have started work on their 8th studio album. The currently un-titled album is set to feature Dutch vocalist Floor Jansen. The new album will be out via Nuclear Blast, in spring 2015.
Tuomas Holopainen says “From the moment I start writing the song, I have the story in my head. I have a really clear vision how the songs should sound like at this point. Of course they will chance after band rehearsals and arranging. And they should change!”
In the below video band members and recording crew gather around the long table of ‘The Cabin’ to discuss all aspects of the making of NIGHTWISH’s eighth album, including the 12 track demo version that keyboardist and visionary composer Tuomas Holopainen and sound engineer Tero ‘TeeCee’ Kinnunen recorded before the band met up.
