Onslaught on Godhead

Thrash metal icons Onslaught continue their 40th anniversary celebrations with the release of a music video for ‘Godhead‘ and you can check it out right here at RAMzine.

The video ties in with the recent release of anniversary edition of the band’s Sound Of Violence’ album alongside a series of vinyl reprints.

2022 has been a special year for Onslaught, and the group – led by Nige Rockett – has celebrate in style, having been inducted into the Metal Hall of Fame this May while being described as “One of the most ferocious, explosive and controversial metal bands ever to come out of the UK.”

On 11th November their latest three studio albums – Sounds Of Violence (2011), VI (2013) and Generation Antichrist’ were released as red 180-gram vinyl editions in gatefold sleeves. On the same day, an anniversary edition of Sounds Of Violence will become available as a 2-CD digipak including a bonus CD.

CD1 of the collection features the tracks: Into The Abyss (Intro)’, ‘Born For War’, ‘The Sound Of Violence’, ‘Code Black’, ‘Rest In Pieces’, ‘Godhead’, ‘Hatebox’, ‘Antitheist’, ‘Suicideology’ and ‘End Of The Storm (Outro)’.

CD2 features the tracks: ‘Bomber’ (Motörhead cover), ‘Angels Of Death’, ‘Thermo Nuclear Devastation Of The Planet Earth’, ‘Rest In Pieces (Live)’, ‘The Sound Of Violence (Live)’, ‘Metal Forces (Live)’, ‘Burn (Live)’ and ‘Bow Down To The Clowns (Live)’

“It’s great to see AFM rereleasing these albums to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band,” said Onslaught. “Some new Sounds Of Violence artwork, new videos and bonus tracks too? Yea, this is fucking killer!”
