With her UK tour imminent and her show at Leeds Brudenell on Wednesday 28th January already sold out, guitarist and singer Orianthi has just released her latest single, ‘Attention’, the opening track from her most recent album, Some Kind of Feeling.

‘Attention’ finds Orianthi’s penchant for jangly rock continuing while brushing alongside some Americana euphoria. There’s a Wilson Phillips vibe here, paired with a sweet but biting guitar solo that doesn’t let go once it comes in. The upbeat feel contrasts with the lyrical irony as she calls out an ex-lover for drunk texting.

Available on all streaming platforms here, you can watch the official music video for ‘Attention’ here at RAMzine.

Tracks featured on Some Kind of Feeling are: ‘Attention’, ‘Some Kind of Feeling’, ‘What I’ve Been Looking For’, ‘Sharp Dressed Man’, ‘Ghost’, ‘First Time Blues (feat. Joe Bonamassa)’, ‘Dark Days Are Gone’, ‘Bad For Each Other’, ‘Call You Mine’ and ‘Heaven Right Here’.

Originally released digitally by Woodward Avenue Records last summer, Some Kind of Feeling is available in all formats here.

Orianthi produced three songs from the album including ‘First Time Blues’, ‘Ghost’ and ‘Bad For Each Other’. The remaining seven tracks, including the new single ‘Attention’, were produced by Kevin Shirley (Beth Hart, Joe Bonamassa, Joanne Shaw Taylor).

The veteran artist has worked with the likes of Alice Cooper, Dave Stewart and Richie Sambora, while Michael Jackson hired her for his London performances the year of his untimely death. While playing with legends over the years, she’s continued to build her discography with numerous albums on different labels. Success in her own right started with her Top 20 Billboard pop hit ‘According to You’ and the gold-selling 2009 Geffen album Believe.

Dates for Orianthi’s UK tour are: Manchester, Band on the Wall (24th Jan), Glasgow, Oran Mor (25th Jan), Leeds, Brudenell (28th Jan, Sold Out), London, O2 Academy Islington (29th Jan), Planet Rock’s Winter’s End (31st Jan) and Southampton, The Brook (1st Feb).

Tickets for all other concerts are available from The Gig Cartel here. With the exception of her performance at Planet Rock’s Winter’s End on 31st January, Orianthi’s special guest at all of her concerts will be James Bruner.
