Friday 14th August sees the release of ‘Let Us Rise’ the latest single from Cannock-based rock band Piston, on all digital music platforms not least Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music.
Commenting on the song, lead singer Rob Angelico said: “As humans we all have to progress, and we can deal with anything together. We need to show love right now more than ever. The only race that matters is humanity. Let’s rise, come together, and become one. I’m excited to play this live and thank you for all of your support – you are awesome!”
Guitarist Jack Edwards added: “I’m super excited to release this song! We had it completely remixed and mastered to bring a new life into the track. It’s a different take to what is on the album – it’s almost like the evil twin! The world’s a crazy place right now… Let Us Rise – let’s come together and overcome this pandemic.”
The remix was undertaken by James Curtis-Thomas (Aaron Buchanan) and the single will be available by clicking here.
In the meantime, check out the video for it right here at RAMzine.
All this follows the recent news of Piston’s rescheduled UK tour with Bad Touch now taking place in April 2021, with tickets available from here and dates listed below. However, prior to that they will also be supporting Thunder at Birmingham Resorts World Arena on Friday 20th November this year.
Their debut album was released in September 2019 to across-the-board positive reviews, and they followed that in 2020, supported both The Cult and Glenn Hughes on their UK tours. “2019 was an incredible year for Piston,” reflected Edwards, and looking ahead: “2021 is proving to be a busy year for us including tons of festival appearances and shows.”
