Samantha Fish’s Rusty Razor’s Out

Out now, two-time Grammy nominee Samantha Fish‘s new live single ‘Rusty Razor (Live)’ arrives with a live performance video you can check out here at RAMzine, alongside previous single ‘Paper Doll (Live)’, the title track of her new album Paper Doll Live, out now on Rounder Records.

Garage rock with a swinging blues beat, Samantha Fish‘s ‘Rusty Razor (Live)’ is a wild, howling singalong of a night, with a roaring bout of fretwork come the solo section that doesn’t disappoint.

“If Paper Doll was a declaration of artistic power,” Fish said, “Paper Doll Live is the sound of that power unleashed,” and for more about the new album you can read our feature at RAMzine.

‘Paper Doll (Live)’ itself follows in the wake of ‘Don’t Say It’, about which Fish said: “‘Don’t Say It’ is one of those songs that builds gradually, a slow-burn reveal where one person is fighting for the validity of a relationship while the other is emotionally checked out.” She added: “It was incredible having the McCrary Sisters on this track. They weave in and out of the harmonies and add so much heart and depth.”

All three singles are available digitally, and Paper Doll Live is available on vinyl, CD and digitally.
