Bywater Call Announce 2027 UK Tour with Broken Souvenirs

BrBroken Souvenirs will be heading your way on 29th July, the fourth studio album from Canada’s Bywater Call, and it’s preceded by their third studio single of 2026, ‘No One Else’.

Mike Meusel’s bass line dances steadily to an intensive R’n’B beat that threatens to break out impulsively but resists the strain on Bywater Call‘s new single ‘No One Else’. That tension is extended and elaborated on through Meghan Parnell’s soaring vocals, subtly and somewhat seductively further enhanced when the horn section comes in. One to be picked up as intense thriller movie soundtracks methinks.

Said to be inspired by Black Pumas, Baby Huey, Alabama Shakes, and a little Rage Against The Machine, at its core the song is a rejection letter, repelling the advances of the liars and conmen who seek to control us. The lyrics are steeped in the frustration of someone who has been ripped off, taken advantage of, used, and left for dead. “This song is a reflection of how, in the current world of manipulation and misinformation, we continue to allow deceitfulness to cause harm,” said Bywater Call‘s guitarist Dave Barnes. “In the end, we have the strength within to defeat evil and take back our own power. If we don’t, there is no one else to blame but ourselves.”

‘No One Else’ was recorded at Palace Studios in Toronto, mixed by Patric McGroarty, and mastered by Kristian Montano of Montano Mastering. The official video for the single was choreographed and directed by Chelsea Preston and filmed by Badee Mirkham. The visual theme of fire is intended to represent the evils of our current political and cultural landscape, with paper masks representing how fragile and easily manipulated we all can be if we don’t keep our minds about us.

The new single is indicative of Bywater Call‘s mission to meld old and new sounds and influences, while continuing to carve out a lane of their own. The band continues to evolve and experiment, aiming to deliver the emotion and musical drive that followers have come to love, and that’s what they can expect throughout new album Broken Souvenirs.

Broken Souvenirs features original songs showcasing Bywater Call‘s versatility, musicality, and experimentation. It’s available to pre-order now, with ‘No One Else’ out across all streaming platforms.
