Shiraz Lane – Don’t Believe the Bull!

Finnish rock band Shiraz Lane issue a new single and video with ‘Bullshit’ out now on Frontiers Music Srl, ahead of some busy touring schedules, including the UK this summer.

“Our second single, ‘Bullshit’, dives deep into a hypothetical future of Orwellian dystopia along with the degeneration of society,” said the band. “The song carries a strong message about cutting through deception, hypocrisy and provokes debate on the current direction of the modern world”.

“The creative approach in the soundscape and production of Bullshit expands our sonic boundaries and elevates the means of our expression on another level. Bullshit will prove to be a cornerstone of the upcoming album and a fundamental piece of music that will surely stand the test of time”, they added.

It follows on from ‘Dangerous’, the band expressing their enthusiasm for that release, by saying: “We are excited to come forth with this bombastic banger. We believe that ‘Dangerous’ is the song that defines the path of Shiraz Lane, progressing towards a more contemporary soundscape.

“The song is seasoned with anthemic melodies, heavy riffs and a groovy disco beat – All spiced up with a modern twist in production. ‘Dangerous’ is the definition what Shiraz Lane is all about in 2025 and the beginning of a new groundbreaking chapter of what the future holds”, they added

“The video for ‘Dangerous’ was created in collaboration with Juho Virinkoski/Rytmivisuals. The aim was to capture the mysterious and intense ambience resonating in the storyline with a minimalistic, but engaging fashion. The inspiration is drawn from the style and cinematography of Joker: Folie à Deux and the focus was to emphasize the subtle emotions and create a captivating setting. The general landscape is a perfect fit for the musical and lyrical elegance, which will further enhance and elevate the overall experience of the song.”

Hailing from Vantaa, Finland, Shiraz Lane started their musical journey in 2011. Their vision of a perfect blend of sonic combustion and elegant delicacy started to blossom and reach its potential when the current line-up was solidified in 2014 and the band released their first EP Be The Slave Or Be The Change.

Gaining international attention, the young Finns were soon flying from Japan to South America, playing in Europe’s coolest clubs & summer festivals and had their warm first contact also with the US audience on a Monsters of Rock cruise.

In addition to their debut EP, other most notable releases include the albums For Crying Out Loud, Carnival Days, Vibration I, Forgotten Shades Of Life and Acoustic Archives.

Although wearing inspiration and paying homage to their predecessors, the sound and style of Shiraz Lane – featuring Hannes Kett (Vocals), Jani Laine and Miki Kalske (Guitars), Joel Alex – Bass and Ana Vilkkumaa (Drums) – has been described as “unique, bold and contemporary”. This has manifested in collaborations such as extensive international touring (sharing stages with bands such as KISS, Deep Purple, H.E.A.T and Crashdïet), national TV appearances, the gaming world and, most importantly, an exponentially growing and dedicated fanbase around the world.

Shiraz Lane embarking on a UK tour this summer, with support from XIII Doors, starting on 19th June in Bournemouth, and wrapping up on 27th June in Wanclockhead – Tickets are available here.
