Skid Row will be flying over from the USA to deliver their particular brand of heavy metal to those in the United Kingdom next March, when they play a total of 15 dates including a special co-headline show at London Shepherds Bush Empire on Sunday 11th March with Night Ranger.
The New Jersey band still featuring original members Rachel Bolan (bass, backing vocals) and Dave Sabo (lead guitar, backing vocals) got together back in 1986, with Scotti Hill (rhythm guitar, backing vocals) joining the following year. Early albums Skid Row and Slave To the Grind had them finding quick success, and while not everything’s been easy the band since they are still out their gigging, alongside putting together a trilogy of EPs under the United World Rebellion banner. The current band is completed by Rob Hammersmith (drums) with former Dragonforce vocalist ZP Theart now fronting the band.
After playing Dublin, Skid Row play Belfast Limelight on Saturday 3rd March and then take in venues across Scotland, England and Wales before wrapping up at Nottingham Rock City on Thursday 22nd March.
While the Sunday 11th March will be co-headlined with Night Ranger, support acts at various venues throughout the tour will be Toseland and Bad Touch. The latter having only just completed their our own headline tour, but singer Stevie Westwood already commenting on the future saying: “We’re excited to be Skid Row’s special guest on their upcoming tour in March. Skid Row are a legendary rock band and it will be fantastic to perform in front of their fans.”
