Melbourne, Australia hard rock outfit Stonetrip has a new EP imminent, entitled The Fight, alongside the title track being released as a single. CD copies will be issued independently via the band from 6th February, with digital editions via Golden Robot Records due as of 20th March.

Emerging from the crossroads of dust-inspired grit and melody-driven rock, Stonetrip craft songs for the open road, late-night reverb, and restless hearts. Fusing classic rock sensibilities with modern indie grit, the band has made an impact on the live Aussie scene in recent years.

The Fight EP features the tracks ‘The Fight’, ‘Beautiful You’, ‘Fame’, previous single ‘Postcards’ and a radio edit of ‘Angel’. Mark Ritchie (vocals), Mick Malusa and Simon Croft (guitars), Sebastian Barahona (bass) and Brett Spicer (drums) have put five tracks down on the forthcoming EP.

The ‘The Fight’ single itself is “a song about longing, escape, and the fragile hope that change is coming — just not yet”. Raw and reflective, it explores the space between who we are and who we’re trying to become, where dreams linger but timing holds us back.
