Stratospheerius cover Muse

Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius have released what’s been described as a “Queen-esque” cover of the Muse hit ‘Hysteria’ that’s available now as a single on the Melodic Revolution Record label.

The progressive rock band, headed by electric violinist & vocalist Deninzon had been playing the song as part of their live set for some time, but when it came to recording it they took a sifferent slant.

“I was having a very good day vocally and channelled my inner Matt Bellamy, hitting the Es!” said the violinist. “Rocking my Viper electric violin through a whammy pedal and an Earthquake Arpenoid in the solo. We pulled out all the stops! The operatic intro is my tip of the hat to Queen, who obviously influenced the music of Muse. Two of my all-time favourite bands! This was the first time we had an operatic soprano (Melanie Mitrano) on a Stratospheerius recording.”

If those explanations are all a bit too highbrow for you don’t worry simply check out the video to ‘Hysteria’ right here at RAMzine, and if you like what you here go buy the single.
