Dancehall-punk fusionists Sumo Cyco grabbed our attention with their debut ‘Welcome To Cyco City’ this year, so it’s only right they get to work on the next album.
In true 21st century style, the band have started a PledgeMusic campaign to fund the album and surrounding material such as videos and merchandise. You can pledge as little as £7 ($10) for a digital download of the album, up to £2614 ($4,000) which will get Sumo Cyco to play in your local venue. Other rewards include lyric sheets, a signed guitar, t-shirts, calenders and everything a fan could dream of.
The video on the page also confirms Benji Webbe of Skindred wiill appear on the new album.
The band said this about PledgeMusic in their mission statement:
“We’ve partnered with our friends at PledgeMusic because they specialize in making this experience something really special for the music fan. We think you’ll really dig the fact that not only can you pre-order the most bad-ass record coming out of Cyco City, but you’ll be able to be part of making the album!”
You can make a pledge by going to the official PledgeMusic page by clicking here
Sumo Cyco will be playing Planet Rock Stock alongside The Darkness and Rival Sons, this December at Trecco Bay.
