With two critically acclaimed EPs under their belt and more broken guitar strings and tour damaged gear than they’d care to recall, Antipodean punk/indy act The Cherry Dolls have released new single/video ‘Blister‘ as a lead-in to the release of their forthcoming debut album Viva Los Dolls.
Available on Golden Robot Records as of 24t November, Viva Los Dolls. has been produced by The Delta Riggs’ Alex Markwell and the nine tracks are as follows: ‘C.O.P. Out’, ‘Slave’, ‘Let You Down’, ‘Bottom of the Wall’, ‘Kimchi’, ‘Hollywood’, ‘Love’, ‘Lemon & Lime’, ‘Begging You Please’, ‘Blister’.
Elsewhere across Viva Los Dolls you’ll find the band wearing their Stooges and New York Dolls badges proudly, whereas on ‘Blister’ Joshua Aubry, Jakob Kagan, Thomas van der Vliet, Brendan West and Jim Stirton are in melancholic ballad mode, calling to mind early Mott the Hoople in their wistfully roguish Dylan mode.
