The Original Virus Returns!

Formed in 1986, Virus caused a stir from day one with their punk attitude firmly embedded into their brand of thrash metal, their raucous behaviour earning them a certain amount of infamy! Whilst those heady, crazy days may now be past, their desire to bring their blistering sound back into the open most definitely is not, and so the original line-up of Virus are back, with added clout!

Vocalist/guitarist Henry Heston, bass player John Hesse and drummer Tez Kaylor are supplementing their original triumvirate by adding former Even X and Carrera guitar shredder Ricky Kay.

As one of the pioneers of British thrash metal, Virus played with the likes of Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, The Cro-Mags, Kreator, Nuclear Assault, Overkill and Celtic Frost.

Plans are already afoot for the Original Virus  to hit the road at a metal festival in 2019, and discussions are under way for a co-headlining tour of America with The Cro-Mags.

In the meantime Combat Records plan a 30th anniversary reissue of 1988’s Force Recon on 9th November, followed by 1989’s Lunacy next year. To get hold of the former click here and here.
