Triers Return with Home

Shropshire’s Triers return wih new single Home’ out now and described as “a towering indie anthem that lays bare the frustration, resilience, and raw humanity of life inside the music industry”.

Recently crowned BBC Introducing Artist of the Week (with airplay three times a day on Shropshire, Stoke, Hereford & Worcester), Triers has already seen their music echo around Wolverhampton’ Molineux Stadium and catch the attention of tastemakers at BBC Radio 6 Music.

Home’ is a candid statement about rejection, self-worth, and the refusal to give up. “’Home’ isn’t about a place,” said frontman Nick Taylor, “It’s about chasing your dream, getting told you’re not good enough, and finding your sense of belonging in spite of that. The lyric ‘put me back on the shelf’ came from how it feels to be part of an industry that celebrates you one minute and forgets you the next. But we’re still here, and this song is our way of saying that’s where we belong – in the noise.”

You can stream the single here and here.

Featuring Nick Taylor (Vocals, guitar), CJ Loveitt (Guitar), Alex Bachene (Drums) and CJ Allen (Bass, keyboards, backing vocals), and produced by Gavin Monaghan (Editors, The Twang, Robert Plant) at Magic Garden Studios, with ‘HomeTriers turn their frustration into catharsis — A defiant roar from the underdogs of British indie.

Based between Shropshire and the West Midlands, rising indie/alternative band Triers  are becoming known for their emotionally charged live shows and widescreen sound. Having toured across the UK and progressed to Round 2 of the Artist Breakout Programme, they’ve built a reputation as one of the most compelling grassroots acts in the country. From hometown shows at Albert’s Shed (Shrewsbury/Telford) to stages nationwide, Triers is said to be the sound of unfiltered honesty wrapped in anthemic grit – A band living up to their name.
