Within Temptation postpone 2014 UK tour

Within Temptation have announced they will be postponing their UK tour till April of next year.

The delay has been caused by the production of Within Temptation’s upcoming sixth studio album which is due for release in late January 2014. The band have decided to continue with production of the album in place of the originally scheduled tour dates. Guitarist Robert Westerholt commented:

“We understand that the rescheduled tour dates are a blow for the many fans who have bought tickets early and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.  We hope they feel a little compensated by the release of our new, special priced 4-song EP, which gives them full insight into the kind of album we are working on.  To make up for the rescheduled dates, we’re now pressured to work even harder to deliver our best and most impressive live production ever on the upcoming tour, however the completion of a great new album is a prerequisite for that!  And therefore the only option was to reschedule the dates for Western Europe.”

16 – Birmingham – Academy

All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates. Original supports Delain will also be appearing on the rescheduled dates. Within Temptation will be releasing the lead single from their new album, titled Paradise (What About Us?), on September 27th.
