Zakk Wylde: Book of Shadows II release date announced

Follow up to his original acoustic showcase Zakk Wylde’s ‘Book of Shadows II‘ will be released April 8th.

Fans of Black Label Society are no stranger to the softer, more acoustic side, from the very first BLS song written ‘Spoke in the Wheel’ to ‘In This River’, and the much softer of BLS albums ‘Hangover Music Vol. VI’. With a live DVD/BluRay/Album release known as ‘Unblackened’, a live acoustic performance showcasing music from across all of Zakk Wyldes career away from Ozzy.

Book of Shadows’ released some 20 years ago in 1996, showcasing the acoustic talents of Zakk Wylde with great songs such as ‘Sold my Soul’, ‘Way Beyond Empty’ and ‘Throwing it all Away’.

Recorded and produced in the home studio The Black Vatican, ‘Book of Shadows II’ will be released via Spinefarm Records and is eagerly anticipated. Listed as one of the “Most Anticipated Metal Releases of 2016” by none other than Rollingstone.com. Soon after release, we expect a list of tour dates to be announced in support of the album.

Zakk Wylde has become a household name in the metal industry through the recent decades, being the longest serving guitarist for solo career of Ozzy Osbourne, his bluesy southern rock band Pride and Glory, to his own style of heavy with Black Label Society. Now see’s a venture back in time to a period between Ozzy albums, and the space between the Pride and Glory and BLS days with a follow up to his solo acoustic album ‘Book of Shadows’.
