Black Veil Brides return revenge-fuelled on Vindicate

Black Veil Brides are one of my absolute favourite bands of all time. I’ve been listening to them since 2014 when I was 18 years old, and they helped me through a lot of dark times in my life. I still haven’t seen them live yet, but one day I will. I was very excited when they announced a new album, and I got extremely happy when I received it early, two days before I turned 30. The best birthday present ever!

Black Veil Brides are: Andy Biersack on lead vocals, Jake Pitts on lead guitar, Jinxx on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Christian “CC” Coma on drums, and Lonny Eagleton on bass and backing vocals. Jinxx is a multi-instrumentalist, also playing violin, cello, keyboards, and piano. As of 2019, Andy also plays keyboards and synthesizers.

The band originally formed back in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio, with some lineup changes before settling on the current one. Andy is the only original member from 2006. Jinxx joined in 2009, CC and Jake joined in 2010, and Lonny joined in 2019. They are currently based in Hollywood, California, and their music ranges across hard rock, metalcore, alternative metal, glam metal, and goth metal.

Black Veil Brides’ seventh album Vindicate will be released on 8th May 2026 via Spinefarm Records. The band has released five tracks from this album so far. First was ‘Bleeders’ on 26th April 2024, followed by ‘Hallelujah’ on 17th July 2025. ‘Certainty’ arrived on 8th January 2026, with title track ‘Vindicate’ released on 19th March 2026. Most recently, ‘Revenger’ featuring Robb Flynn of Machine Head dropped on 23rd April 2026.

WOW! We are in love with this album. This band gets better with every album they produce. We love that Andy can switch from melodic and harmonising vocals to heavy and guttural delivery, with powerful riffs and hard-hitting drumming packing a real punch. The album revolves around personal resilience and vengeance, with a revenge-focused throughline running through every track. It’s so hard to choose which tracke to highlight, because we loved them all, but we have managed to pick a few.

First of all, the album doesn’t open with a song. ‘Invocation To The Muse’ begins with organ-heavy music that leads perfectly into a dramatic spoken-word narration by Andy himself. It sums up the whole album and prepares us for what’s about to come.

‘Cut’ features Andy’s wife Lilith Czar (formerly Juliet Simms). Their voices are so melodic and harmonising together. It’s a track that holds so much emotion and passion, and you can easily hear that in their voices and within the music itself.

‘Revenger’ features Machine Head’s vocalist Robb Flynn, and what a perfect collaboration this is. Lots of guttural vocals and screams, heavy riffs and basslines, and hard-hitting drumming. It’s a track you can easily get lost in and headbang to. We especially love the lyrics: “No running, no hiding, no escape from me, revenger”, which just shows how brave and passionate they can be about the theme of revenge.

‘Sorrow’ starts off melodic and light, then hits hard with the heaviness. It is a track full of emotion that resonates a lot with me personally. The harmonising backing vocals singing “I’m the enemy” on repeat throughout the track hits hard. It’s something a lot of people think about themselves when they struggle, including myself, but it’s not the case at all. We all make mistakes, but mental health can take over our rational thinking. Andy sings “I won’t let it win”, which I think we all need to tell ourselves. We will get through this.

I am very happy I was able to review this album. It was such a treat to listen to the whole thing early. If you are already a fan of Black Veil Brides, or if you are intrigued by them, then you will not be disappointed. Full of emotional yet powerful messages within their music, they know how to relate to people. Check out the album when it’s released!
